Natural Selection Analysis

Natural selection analysis detects if genetic selection acts on a DNA sequence to result in either beneficial mutation “positive selection” or maintenance of genetic variation at a locus “balancing selection”. Natural selection is best detected by combing the output of commonly used methods such as Fst, Tajima’s D, and dN/dS test.

Requirements
  • DNA sequences or genotypic data of different populations or multiple species.

Deliverables
  • List of naturally selected loci.
  • Functional enrichment of genes overlapping with naturally selected loci.
